Lead Where Leadership is Needed Most

IGEL, the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, is an experiential program dedicated to building and sustaining a diverse network of environmentally educated leaders in the state of Georgia. It provides these leaders the knowledge, advanced skills and network necessary to help resolve Georgia’s environmental challenges now and in the future.

Participants are proven leaders who represent Georgia’s economic, ethnic, geographic and institutional diversity. We seek individuals from a wide range of professions, interests, political viewpoints and experiences.

Tuition for the Five-session Program

  • $4,800 for private sector applicants:
    • S Corporations
    • C Corporations
    • LLCs
    • Other Corporations
    • Federal Government
    • State Government
    • Other States
    • 501(c)(6)
  • $3,600 for applicants from these sectors:
    • Academia
    • 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4)
    • Local governments

Tuition fee covers instruction, course materials, lodging and meals.

There are a limited number of need-based, partial scholarships available for selected applicants. Scholarships are made possible through generous corporate, foundation and individual gifts.
