Hall of Fame 2019

Hall of Fame 2019

The Hall of Fame was born out of an idea to recognize and thank former board members, honoring those who’ve made significant contributions of their time, talent and treasure to ensure IGEL thrives well into the future. This organization wouldn’t be where it is today without continued support from our alumni network, current and former Board members, and the Hall of Fame is a small way to show our appreciation.

We wanted this event to be intimate, bringing together those who’ve been invested in the success of the program over time, and this year we celebrated two former Board members that have made extraordinary contributions to IGEL: Marci Reed and Bob Rolader.

Marci Reed (IGEL ’04), nominated by Jamie Henderson (IGEL ’05), is known in her class for her excellent decision making skills, which she put to work during her time as an IGEL board member. In 2013, Marci stepped in as IGEL was undergoing some financial difficulties and effectively rectified the situation by leveraging her development experience as well as updating several accounting best practices. Her guidance led to many institutional practices and policies that the organizational still follows today.

Bob Rolader (IGEL ’10), nominated by Will Wingate (IGEL ’11), is well known in the program for his wonderful spirit. At a point when IGEL needed some enthusiasm and creativity injected into our fundraising program, Bob went above and beyond to raise the necessary funds – igniting some passionate folks’ fundraising fervor in the process. His results significantly contributed to the stability of IGEL’s resource development work and corporate relationships.

The 2019 Hall of Fame event took place on April 17, 2019 and signaled the official induction of Marci and Bob where they join the three IGELians inducted in 2017: Charles Stripling, Will Wingate and the late Barbara Gallo.
