On January 20, 2010, Katie Kirkpatrick, Chair of the IGEL, Inc. Board, welcomed over 75 IGEL alumni, recent graduates of Class 2009 and incoming members of Class 2010 to the Southface Energy Institute for an afternoon of workshops and an evening reception.  The event kicked off a new emphasis on connecting our growing alumni group and providing additional opportunities to experience the IGEL program.

 The workshop focused on leadership development with programs such as Adaptive Leadership and Resolving Leadership Dilemmas and expanding environmental knowledge through an interactive Carbon Footprint game and an Energy Efficiency tour of Southface.  Many thanks to our workshop leaders including Rob Williams, Steve Olson, Dennis Creech, Judy Adler,  Jason Rooks, Todd Edwards and Jill Johnson.  In addition, the Fanning Institute of Georgia, who is an instrumental partner in IGEL’s success, assisted in the planning and coordination of the event.
